Assistant Manager

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Restaurant Manager to join the team, they are looking for a friendly hardworking, leaser who can help shape the business as it grows.

The Job is initially part-time (30 hours) moving to full-time (35 hours), salary will increase once full-time.

Duties:

  • take responsibility for leading floor service (setup, layout, management of floor staff, clean down, etc)
  • assist in organising marketing activities/events
  • assist in preparing reports at the end of the shift, including staff control and sales
  • assist in pricing & budget
  • coordinate the operation of the restaurant ensuring that kitchen, bar and waiting staff are working as a team
  • assist in recruiting, training, managing & motivating staff
  • assist in responding to customer queries and complaints
  • meet and greet customers as required
  • organise table reservations and offer advice about menu and wine choices
  • maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety
  • check stock levels, order supplies and prepare cash drawers and petty cash
  • comply with licensing laws and other legal requirements

Required:

  • experienced in a managerial role
  • motivated, proactive, enthusiastic with a positive attitude
  • a leader – ensuring staff are appraised, happy, focused and dedicated
  • able to take initiative
  • experienced in overseeing restaurant service
  • experienced in using online EPOS to reservation systems
