Factory Operative (Welding Machine Operator)
£12.21 per hour
Shrewsbury
Monday – Friday
5:30 AM – 2:00 PM

Location: Battlefield Enterprise Park, with excellent access to nearby link roads.

Absolute Personnel in Shrewsbury is currently recruiting for a Factory Operative (Welding Machine Operator) on behalf of our client. This is a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity working a fixed morning shift, Monday to Friday.

You will be joining a friendly and established production team, focusing on the operation and monitoring of automated welding machinery used in the manufacture of window frames. Please note, this role does not involve manual welding or fabrication all welding processes are machine operated.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating and monitoring automated welding machines to ensure smooth production
• Loading and unloading window frame components onto the production line
• Checking finished products to ensure quality standards are met
• Reporting any faults, defects, or machine issues to supervisors
• Using basic hand and power tools where required
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area
• Working efficiently to support production targets

Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in manufacturing, production, or machine operation (preferred but not essential)
• Experience working with automated machinery is advantageous
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Reliable, hardworking, and punctual
• Able to work effectively as part of a team
• Motivated and willing to learn
• Able to start work at 5:30 AM
