  • Respond calmly and professionally to incidents or emergencies.
  • Use effective conflict management and de-escalation skills when dealing with challenging situations.
  • Where necessary, safely and professionally remove individuals who fail to comply with venue policies.
  • Support venue safety procedures and emergency protocols.
  • Work closely with the wider venue team to ensure performances and events run smoothly and safely.

You will ideally have:

  • Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence – essential.
  • Previous security, front-of-house, hospitality, theatre, events or other customer-facing experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, professional manner.
  • Strong communication skills and clear spoken English.
  • Confidence when dealing with members of the public.
  • Good conflict management and de-escalation skills.
  • The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.

  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and occasional late-morning starts depending on the theatre and event schedule.
