Process Installation Electrician

Pay: £20.00-£25.00 per hour

The role

We are looking for self-employed Electrical Process Engineers and/or Process Installation Electricians to support our client with a strong pipeline of new and existing business throughout 2026 and 2027.

Our client is a Shropshire based business with clients in the Cardiff area, established two years ago, already successful and profitable. They are moving into their next period of growth and have a strong order book. They are looking for a pool of reputable contractors to ensure they are able to deliver the installation of electrical process control panels predominantly within the food manufacturing and pharmaceutical sectors.

A willingness to learn, positive attitude, great communication skills and reliability are all qualities that are required for these roles.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking for additional work during otherwise quiet times or who is looking to develop new sub-contractor relationships.

Responsibilities

· Installation of electrical process control panels

· Maintenance and modification of control panels

· UK travel and some overnight stays

Candidate requirements

· NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant discipline (essential)

· ECS Gold Card (essential)

· An electrical engineering qualification is beneficial

· Experience working as an Industrial Electrician/Process Electrician

· A focus on electrical process installation is beneficial

· Experience of wiring up valves and pumps

· Experience of commercial and industrial electrical work

· Happy to be away from home and travel across the UK

· Clean UK driving licence (or equivalent)

· Own vehicle (essential)

· Own tools (essential)

· Excellent communication skills

· Be a great ambassador for the business ensuring their reputation is maintained

Benefits and reward package

· Hourly rate between £20 and £25 per hour depending on experience and expertise – payment is made via CIS

· Accommodation and travel expenses covered by our client (subject to prior agreement)
