Receptionist

Pay: Up to £30,000.00 per year

Location: Oxford

Salary: up to £30,000 depending on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.00pm (one hour for lunch unpaid)

Job summary

We are seeking a professional and experienced Receptionist/Service Advisor on behalf of our client to join their busy family run garage and MOT Test Centre just outside of Oxford city centre. This is an established and successful business with a loyal customer base and prides itself on excellent service. This role is Monday to Friday with no weekend working and is an opportunity for an experienced Service Advisor or for an excellent general Administrator to join and learn about the automotive trade.

Duties

• Meeting and greeting customers
• Answering telephone calls and enquiries and booking in jobs and MOTs
• Checking in customer vehicles and checking details against original bookings
• Booking work into the diary and raising job cards using the KIS system
• Updating customers during the day on the progress of work and agreeing costs of work required
• Parts ordering and invoice payments
• Raising customer invoices
• Printing service sheets and compiling relevant paperwork ready for when the vehicle is collected
• General office duties and administration

Candidate requirements

• Proven office experience or administrative experience in a professional setting
• Experience of working within the automotive sector is desirable
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience with data entry and clerical duties that require attention to detail
• Ability to work independently while supporting team objectives
• It is desirable that candidates hold a UK driving licence as they may on occasion be required to move vehicles around the yard and into the workshop
