Yard Operative

£12.21 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-established client for a reliable and hardworking Yard Operative to join their busy manufacturing team in Shrewsbury.

This role involves working in the yard and stores area, ensuring materials are received, stored, and prepared efficiently to support production.

Key Responsibilities for the successful Yard Operative:

• Unloading PVC-U profile deliveries using counterbalance and forklift trucks
• Safely storing and rearranging stock in the yard and warehouse
• Picking and preparing profile for daily cutting schedules
• Receiving deliveries, checking goods against delivery notes, and completing paperwork
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised yard/work area
• Assisting with general duties as required

Requirements for the successful Yard Operative:

• Forklift/counterbalance licence desirable (training can be provided)
• Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or manufacturing environment an advantage
• Strong organisational skills with good attention to detail
• Ability to work well as part of a team and use initiative
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
